Parenting Workshop The workshop was organized at LieuQuan temple in two days August 17-18, 2003. Through discussion, attendees gained more awareness of different perspectives about child development in the first 5 years. The event attracted more than 25 parents, grandparents, and child caregivers.
"Hat Cho Tuoi Tho 1" Fundraising Concert This was the first fundraising concert ICAN organized. It took place at Mexican Heritage Center in San Jose on May 18, 2003. The event was very successful with many sponsors and 500 audiences enjoying a lovely evening with popular songs of Ngo Thuy Mien. Present at the concert was Ngo Thuy Mien, and singers Khanh Ly, Quang Tuan, Diem Lien and Anh Dung.
Children's Faire The City of San Jose organized the 15th Annual Children's Faire at Discovery Meadow, San Jose on April 12, 2003. ICAN was at the event along with many other non-profit organizations. The children were irresistible with face fainting done by young members of ICAN, Jasmine and Jeniffer. The mayor of San Jose was present to cheer up attendees in the children's day.
Meals For Homeless Children and Women On the second Saturday of every month of year 2003, ICAN provided free meals for homeless women and children at InnVision, San Jose. The activity had attracted many young volunteers and parents who were, with good hearts, looking for events of good causes to exercise their philanthropy.
Tet Festival ICAN was joining with many other organization in the local community to celebrate the Tet (Vietnamese New Year). ICAN was present at LieuQuan temple, and New Year Faire at downtown San Jose to make ourselves more known to the public, especially the San Jose community.
