  • Christina Vu | Early Childhood Education Intern

    Christina is an incoming second-year student at San José State University, currently majoring in Psychology and considering a double major in Public Health. As an intern with ICAN, Christina supports the organization’s Early Childhood Education programs, where they assist in creating welcoming, supportive environments for parents and their young children. Through this work, they help promote healthy parent-child relationships and early developmental learning.

    One of Christina'’s favorite parts of the ICAN experience is the sense of community—especially during lunchtime, when everyone gathers and connects.

    A fun fact about Christina is that she enjoys playing Tetris in her free time and are always up for a friendly high-score challenge!

  • Aaron Pham | Early Childhood Education Intern

    Aaron is a rising senior at Independence High School and currently serves as an intern at ICAN. In his role, he supports the Early Childhood Education programs, where he helps foster positive developmental experiences for young children while also encouraging strong, healthy relationships between parents and their kids.

    One of Aaron’s favorite aspects of interning at ICAN is the unique opportunity to interact with people across generations—from young children to older adults—which makes each day both meaningful and fun.

    A fun fact about Aaron is that he has an entire room in his house dedicated to Legos, filled with over 150 sets. His collection reflects both creativity and dedication—two qualities he brings to his work at ICAN!

  • Christina Ngo | Early Childhood Education/Research Intern

    Christina is a recent graduate from San José State University, where she earned her B.S. in Public Health. As an intern at ICAN, she supports programs that serve Vietnamese parents and children, helping to foster strong, healthy family relationships. Christina also assists clients with the application process for ICAN’s Clean Cars program, ensuring that families can access cleaner, more sustainable transportation options.

    Outside of her work at ICAN, Christina enjoys expressing her creativity through art. She often invests in materials to bring her drawings to life—even if it means treating herself a little. Her dedication to both community well-being and artistic expression makes her a valuable part of the ICAN team.

  • Jacqueline Pham | Programs Intern

    Jacqueline is an incoming sophomore at UC San Diego, double majoring in Sociology and Ethnic Studies. This summer, she is interning with ICAN as part of the Operations team, where she contributes to projects such as Data Disaggregation and Second Generation Oral Histories. Through her work, Jacqueline supports ICAN’s mission of uplifting the Vietnamese American community in the Bay Area and is excited to engage in meaningful, community-centered research.

    Outside of ICAN, Jacqueline loves to bake and decorate cakes—a passion she’s nurtured since the age of six. Her creativity, curiosity, and commitment to community make her a vibrant addition to the ICAN team.

  • Katelyn Doanla | Marketing Intern

    Katelyn is an incoming second-year student at UCLA, majoring in Cognitive Science and Digital Humanities. As an intern at ICAN, she contributes to content creation, social media management, outreach, and graphic design—including many of the visuals you see online. Through her work, Katelyn hopes to help uplift and increase the visibility of Vietnamese-Americans by fostering community and celebrating culture.

    A fun fact about Katelyn: her highest typing speed is an impressive 170 words per minute!

  • Sydney Tran | Programs Intern

    Sydney is an upcoming fourth-year student at San José State University, majoring in Public Health with a concentration in Population Data Science. As an intern at ICAN, she values the opportunity to collaborate and witness the power of teamwork in action. Seeing these dynamics in a real-world setting has strengthened her appreciation for working together toward a shared goal.

    A fun fact about Sydney: she’s an avid collector! Her room is filled with anime merchandise, posters, prints, plushies, keyboards, K-pop albums, and more—each corner reflecting her vibrant personality.
