GIA ĐÌNH ÊM ẤM | HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS & COMMUNICATION

Family Relationship and Communication is a 6-week program with parenting workshops focused on understanding about ages and stages of adolescent development, identifying domestic violence, problem solving skills, improving communication with their teenagers toward a healthy relationship.

WHO WE SERVE

We serve our community of Vietnamese-American families, and especially parents. We also provide guidance that sets a foundation of growth for the youth in our community.

WHAT WE DO

This workshop focuses on improving communication through active listening. We help parents bridge the cultural gap between parents and children in the United States, and hope to increase the harmony of family relationships within our Vietnamese community. This workshop is especially for parents of preteens and teenagers.

WHY IT MATTERS

Being a parent is very challenging, so this workshop aims to help parents and teens build even stronger and happier relationships within their family. All parents face unique challenges, so participants are given a safe space to share their struggles, ask questions to parents with older children, and find support from each other. These discussions help parents learn not only how to talk to their kids, but how to listen as well.
